The mixing unit is available in two versions,
one designed for low pressure systems, and one for
high pressure systems. Gravity-fed systems would be best served
by choosing the low pressure mixing
unit, which features two pumps to ensure that you enjoy a powerful
flow of water every time you take a shower.
Other systems, such as those where water is pressurised or where
it goes through a combi boiler would
be better served by the high pressure mixing unit. (See diagrams
below for more detail and info)

| GRAVITY-FED SYSTEMS:
This is the most common household plumbing system
in the UK. It utilises a cold water tank in your loft and
a hot water tank in your airing cupboard to supply your
home with hot and cold water - A low pressure
mixing unit should be used with this system.

|
UNVENTED HP SYSTEMS:
This system stores hot water under pressure in a
large cylinder, which can usually be found in an airing
cupboard or a garage. The expansion vessel on top
of the cylinder and the absence of a cold water tank
can identify this system - A high pressure mixing
unit should be used with this system.
